Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of T20 World Cup 2022 due to an injury: BCCI Sources

BCCI Sources: Bad news from India’s camp, Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the successive T20I series against South Africa, and the risk of being ruled out of the World Cup also increases. He is set to answer to the Public Cricket Foundation (NCA) in Bengaluru. The selectors will be naming an option, which may be Mohammad Siraj.

Indian team sources and the Control Group for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials have revealed that the Indian captain’s chances of recovery from the first game on the Planet Cup are slim, yet the confidence is not broken. Frequent back issues are the cause of his most recent physical issue. Also Read, IND vs SA 1st T20 highlights: India took the lead of 1-0,

Let us tell you that after returning from injury for two months, Bumrah played a few T20 matches against Australia before taking a break again. The physio and clinical staff of the Indian group have informed the BCCI that his name cannot be considered for the two additional matches of the South Africa series and requested them to report to the NCA.

As training progresses, NCA staff begin a new test, and group executives must be out for more than about a month and a half if it turns out the injury is so severe. A past physical issue of that nature is usually expected to heal in like a month and India’s most memorable match on the Planet Cup – against Pakistan at the MCG on 23 October – is almost three weeks away.

Given the short time frame and the historical background of such wounds, his avoidance of the World Cup would not be justified. Nevertheless, at this stage, neither the BCCI nor the team board has been conclusively informed that this fast bowler will not be available for the Anything Cup. Bumrah will reply to the NCA on Friday once the treatment starts.

Jasprit Bumrah had consistently missed out on the Asia Cup

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had consistently missed out on the Asia Cup at the Unified Middle Eastern Emirates due to a back fit he sustained of late, prompting the board to guarantee that the injury was not far from the World Cup. Bumrah took a break and rested at the NCA in Bengaluru before returning to the squad for the Australia series.

Rohit Sharma admitted during the primary match that his star pacer was slowly being brought back as he was not associated with that game. He played the following two matches on 23 and 25 September though missed the primary against South Africa just before the game on 28 September due to back pain.

Bumrah experienced pressure in his back soon after the tour of West Indies in 2019, where he defeated the hosts by 13 wickets in two matches. He experienced long cuts due to wounds in the home series against South Africa and Bangladesh.

Australia and South Africa have missed the T20Is due to Shami Kovid. Anyway, the veteran pacer has made a negative effort and is available for choice. As recently announced by this site. Also Read, Ravindra Jadeja will be missed in World Cup 2022, Axar Patel will be in the team – Rohit Sharma

The reserve will travel to Australia and will be made available to the group immediately. However, his outing may be delayed slightly due to the three ODIs against South Africa, which ends on October 11.

The name of Bumrah’s replacement is yet to be known by the public selectors, Cricket Experts look towords Md Siraj who has the insight to bowl in huge matches, and is probably being considered for the South Africa series. For the World Cup, the selectors have first kept Mohammed Shami in reserve and there is every possibility of him coming.
